Saturday Morning Art Café! (Saturday mornings from 9:00 - 1:00)
Are you looking for something to do on a Saturday morning, right here in Broadway? You are invited to enjoy a fresh cup of Carriage House Roasters coffee and a muffin or bagel from Mr. J's while you visit our "Art Café"? Juice bottles for children and Hot Tea service will also be available.
We'll have different activities for all ages. Children aged 1-4 will have access to process art activities that are open ended, creative, and fun! For young artists aged 5+, there will be art and craft activities that will be as fun to make as they are to display. We'll also have the acrylic paint 'art buffet' available. Select 1 canvas, then create your very own acrylic painting! Unlimited access to paints, easels, brushes, and guidance are included, and we'll even clear your place and clean up when you are done!
The fee for that art activity designed for children aged 1-4 is $5. The fee for the craft or art project designed for artists 5+ is $10. The Art Buffet is $15 per canvas. Other workshops for teens and adults will be available for $10 - $20 per guest.
We'll be open from 9:00 - 1:00 on Saturdays. NO registration is required, just pop in and say hello!
There will be different activities each week. (We'll post specifics in the weekly event pages!)
Come visit, rest, play, and snack. We'll be so happy to see you!
Yarn Boutique (Each Saturday from 9:00 - 1:00)
Wouldn't it be great if there was a yarn shop in Broadway? Let's see! Every Saturday morning in November, Carrie McGary will bring a collection of handspun and/or hand dyed yarns to the Village Arts Center from 9:00 - 1:00. She will have yarn for sale, and she'll also be available to help with any of your knitting, spinning, or fiber dye questions.
Stuck on a pattern? Need help finding where you left off in a project? Want someone to rip out a few rows for you and get you back on track? Have a question about a particular stitch? Bring your work in progress along! Carrie can help!
We'll have locally roasted Carriage House Coffee, something to nibble on, and a cozy spot for you to shop, knit, (or crochet, or embroider ....) while you visit.
homemade baked goods (stay tuned for dates in February!)
Rebecca Tyson is a homemaker, creative writer, mother of amazing daughters, piano teacher and baker. She will be bringing her delicious, home made bread and granola to the VAC on Saturday, December 8th.
She'll have bread and granola ready for purchase, but she would be happy to take advanced orders to make sure that your favorite bread is waiting for you when you arrive!
